Amy Regan

Amy ReganOriginally from New England, Amy’s diverse background as a pro cyclist, ski patroller, outdoor guide, teacher, personal trainer and endurance World Record Holder gives her not only the knowledge of the body, but the insight to lead and teach others about how to enjoy this sport to the fullest.

Moving to Arizona in 2005 made it possible to become more involved in these pursuits. In December of 2009, she started a Meetup group to offer locals am opportunity to get together and ride, plus offer skills clinics and private training. Today, that local membership has swelled to over 1,000 members and growing daily. In the first four years alone, Amy lead over 1000 rides and taught hundreds of skills clinics and private lessons. Now that number has doubled.

Of her teaching ability, she says that, “They teach me,” and, “in every class I learn more about how to reach someone and help lift them to next level, technically and psychologically. Much of what mountain biking is all about has to do with what’s in our heads, and if I can help make a change there it all gets better! Her attitude and approach is easy-going and encouraging, which helps to set a tone that says, “relax and have some fun!”
